Mrs. Lynch's Kindergarten

English Language Learners (ELLs) are students who are learning the English language in addition to their native language. Teachers adapt lessons and make accommodations for ELLs to ensure that they can participate in meaningful learning. The changes I made to my standard lesson plan address typical issues and challenges ELL students may face in their classroom. The strategies that I have implemented are engaging and help support these students. Below you will find a lesson plan modified to meet the needs of ELL students in the classroom as well as a commentary explaining why these accommodations are helpful to ELL students.
